Even though you’re not yet able to enter certified nurse midwife programs, you can still learn on the job, making it easier for you to understand concepts when you do start your certified nurse-midwife education.
Nurses should be aware, though, that while an MSN is a standard for becoming a nurse-midwife, many nursing schools are raising their nurse-midwifery programs to the Doctor of Nursing Practice level, in anticipation of changes in Certified Nurse Midwife standards. Choose your program wisely.
